Professor Maria Kordowicz is Professor of Organisational Psychology and an internationally recognised researcher whose work explores the relationship between work, leadership, organisational culture, and wellbeing. Her interdisciplinary scholarship bridges organisational psychology, health services research, management, and public policy, with a particular focus on how organisations can create healthier, more sustainable, and more humane workplaces. She is especially known for her expertise in organisational ethnography, qualitative inquiry, and participatory evaluation.

Maria has held senior academic leadership positions across higher education and has worked extensively with healthcare systems, charities, public sector organisations, and businesses to translate research into meaningful organisational improvement. Alongside her academic career, she has more than two decades of executive leadership and consultancy experience, including leading a research and evaluation consultancy that delivered evidence-informed projects for national and international organisations. Maria is a Chartered Psychologist and a Chartered Manager.

Maria has authored books, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and commissioned research reports that have informed both academic debate and organisational practice. Her work has been published across psychology, healthcare, management, and interdisciplinary journals, and she has collaborated internationally on research addressing health systems, workforce wellbeing, organisational performance, and public service innovation, including a prize-winning doctoral study examining organisational performance within primary healthcare.

Maria is the Director of Psychology and Research at Regent's and holds visiting academic appointments with leading research institutions, is an active member and fellow of numerous professional bodies, is a School Governor, Trustee of the University Mental Health Advisers Network, and sit on the editorial board of the Taylor and Francis Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare.
