Adam is a lecturer in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent's University London, teaching at Master's level, and an existential psychotherapist in private practice. He came to psychotherapy after two decades leading technology teams, and trained at Regent's in psychodynamic, integrative, and existential approaches. His doctoral research at Birkbeck, University of London, draws on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to explore experiences of ayahuasca, a traditional plant medicine.

He is a member of the UKCP and the Society for Existential Analysis.
